About Soluna Yoga

Student Teaching Days * 13 free classes at Soluna Yoga

Join us for a celebration of learning and sharing.  Thirteen yoga teachers in training will provide free classes to the community as the final assignment of their Lotus Gardens Yoga Schools 200 hour training program. 
The free classes will be held at Soluna Yoga 2317 Balltown Road, Niskayuna, NY 12309.

We ask that you provide feedback to the new teacher in exchange for your free class.  Take one class take 10, bring friends!  Reservations not required.  Class will be on a first come, first mat space basis. 

 

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5
5:15-6:15pm  * De-Stress, De-Tox & De-Light in your Day * Karol
We will focus on de-stressing from the often hectic day, energizing the body and increasing flexibility, stamina and strength.  This class is appropriate for everyone.

6:15-7:15pm  * Men @ Work * Beth
This class is for those brand new to the practice.  The slow continuous movement focusing on breath and alignment will build flexibility and strength. Men only please!

7:00-8:00pm  * Heart Opening Vinyasa * Alicia
Open your heart chakra with this practice that focuses on the upper body and deepening of the breath.  This class is appropriate for the beginner to intermediate yoga practitioner.

8:00-9:00pm  *Shoulders & Neck * Temo
A Vinyasa flow program designed to enhance training for ironman tri-athletes to develop respiratory capacity, flexibility, alignment, mental strength and awareness.  This class is appropriate for those with some yoga experience ready to begin to link poses through flowing motion or those in good shape. 

 

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6
8:00-9:00am  * Vinyasa Flow *  Cara
A flowing Vinyasa to aid in flexibility, stamina and strength.  This class is appropriate for everyone.

9:15-10:15am * Yoga for Balance * Amanda
Explore your inner balance while challenging your physical balance.
This class is appropriate for those with some yoga experience.

10:30-11:30am  * twist + fly * Raeanne
Explore your personal edge, twist into every corner of your body, and soar to new heights in this challenging power yoga experience.  Students with a strong practice are encouraged to come and have some fun taking it to the next level.

10:45-11:45am  * Yoga for Stress Reduction * Suzanne
Connecting breath and movement:  a perfect practice to destress from your day and to prepare for the busy season ahead. 
This class appropriate for everyone.

1:30-2:30pm  * Breathe… Move… Peace * Laura
Let your breath and body unite as you find peace and calm in your practice.  Be present as you explore and surrender to each inhale, each exhale, each asana, each moment.  This is class appropriate for everyone.

3:30-4:30pm  * Flowing with Grace * Annabel
Initiate your movements from your core to flow with grace while learning the Flying Dragon Series.  This class appropriate for those with some yoga experience. 

 

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7
9:30-10:30am  * Yoga For Core Strength * Keylla
Develop core strength and balance in this invigorating class that incorporates the elements of pranayama while gracefully flowing through a series of challenging Yoga asanas.  This class is for intermediate yoga practitioners.

10:00-11:00am  * Yoga for Youthfulness * Reni
Gentle poses that use breath and mindfulness to maintain flexibility and youthfulness.  This class is appropriate for everyone.

10:45-11:45am  * Beginner Vinyasa Flow * Michelle
A heart-pumping/invigorating yoga class focused on opening up the chest, shoulders, and hip flexors. Great for the person looking to increase their overall fitness level and flexibility, as well as the athlete looking to stretch out over-worked muscles in the chest, shoulders, and legs.

This class appropriate for those with some yoga experience ready to begin to link poses through flowing motion or those in good shape.
