Form and Freedom
February 11th 1:30-3:30 pm -

$30 INSTRUCTOR:   LAURA BULATAO

Form and Freedom create a Yin-Yang balance in Nia and many other movement practices.  Form improves physical and mental functioning by uniting the body and mind as they work toward an ideal.  Freedom engages our emotions and spirits as we playfully express our unique selves.  Guided by Black Belt Nia teacher Laura Bulatao, you'll use the pleasure-based Nia Technique to strengthen your relationship with both Form and Freedom and personally discover the benefits that each has to offer you.  No previous movement experience necessary.

Restorative Yoga

March 11th 4:00-6:00 pm

$30  INSTRUCTOR: BETH DAWSON

Relax and renew and learn how to unwind your body and find your centre with this 2 hour Restorative Yoga Workshop. Be prepared to lose track of time, let go of the outside world, breathe deeply and relax!

Restorative yoga is a practice that reduces your stress and improves your health. It is helpful when you feel stressed, weak or overwhelmed by daily activities or major life events. Restorative yoga is especially valuable for those suffering from stress, cancer, menopause, injury, depression or other challenges. Even those who feel perfectly healthy report that restorative yoga has helped them develop more energy and sleep better.

All postures (asanas) will be done in a passive manner with the support of blankets, blocks and other props. You will have an opportunity to linger peacefully in these soothing and well-supported poses with gentle hands-on adjustments.

This Workshop is limited to 6 in order for everyone to get the attention they need so register early!

The Many Movement Forms of Nia

March 17th 1:30-3:30 pm
$30 Instructor: Laura Bulatao

Come explore Nia's nine movement forms that fill you with power and grace, spunk and flow, passion and peace, and so much more!  Nia is a pleasure- and joy-based movement practice that integrates three dance arts, three martial arts, and three healing arts, including yoga.  We'll savor the sensations and experience the benefits that each movement form brings to our bodies.  We'll notice the emotional impact of working with the unique personality traits of each movement form.  And we'll consider ways to apply the gifts of each movement form to our lives and personal relationships.  No previous movement experience necessary.

Subtle Body Workshops
Subtle Body - Saturday March 3 - 4-6 pm
$30 - Instructor: Mary Clare O'Connor

In this workshop we will place emphasis on following the flow of prana in order to cultivate awareness in the physical and subtle bodies. By breathing ease into movement and asana, we will calm and free the mind to journey through the chakras and layers of the body into a deep relaxation and inner focus. Join us as we strengthen, sooth and care for our subtle energies.

Subtle Body and Auric Cleanse and Healing - April 28, 4-6 pm
$30 - Instructor: Mary Clare O'Connor

It could be said that the ego creates the outer edge of our human energy field, the aura.  It is "that" which separates you from me, or either of us from the all.  In this workshop we will cultivate awareness of this space and its outer limits.  Through breath, movement asana and guided imagery we will affirm our presence, imagine the ego boundaries and infuse this space with love and self-acceptance. As we cleanse we develop clarity and offer healing energy of self-compassion, forgiveness, and gratitude.  Join us as we nourish our selves in this subtle practice.

Essential Oils for Health & Healing
Saturday - April 7 11:00 – 1:00 PM
FREE - Instructor: Karol Augspurger

We will be having a FREE workshop with 2 local ladies devoted to Young Living brand therapeutic-grade essential oils for more than 13 years.  They will be presenting the health and healing benefits of these oils as well as bringing in samples for all of us to try on and enjoy.  Many of these oils have multiple benefits, such as Peppermint, which relieves tension headaches, muscular pain and combats mental fatigue (besides being an instant breath freshener).  Both single oils as well as blends, such as “Thieves” (with clove, cinnamon and rosemary having antimicrobial and purifying attributes) and “Peace and Calming” (need I write more?) will be available for us to test.

Because of their pure, therapeutic and non-synthetic properties, these oils do not tend to pose contraindications for those of us with allergy or sinus conditions.  In fact, ask about some of the sinus and respiratory oils that may help relieve your symptoms!

This workshop promises to be educational and fun, with no obligation to purchase anything.  At the very least, you will leave this workshop smelling wonderful!
